LOCAL BIRMINGHAM SLANGS.


Every place has some kind of local lingo. Birmingham has one too which i find very strange.

Cheers- no it`s not the cheers you do before gulping your drink down. Cheers here means thank you.

Tha- you`ll never guess in a zillion years what that stands for. It`s thank you. Tha as in short for thank you. now how lazy do you have to be? so much for the actual english way of greeting people.
Here`s another one......... you alright?????? That`s how everyone greets everyone. of course I am alright you moron. What makes u think I am not. How do u reply to the strange greeting???????? You throw the same thing back at the person. so this is how any conversation starts in Birmingham.
Person A" you alright?" person B "you alright?"

Taking a piss. na it`s not you attending to natures` call. it`s you being pissed or annoyed by someone.

It hasn`t been a very long time since i`ve been in birmingham. so keep lookin` at this column. there might be few more interesting phrases coming along. till then adios.

What is with men and sleeping. you are bores, not leepy, while your guy lies there snoring away to glory. listed below things to do when your guys asleep.
1) Try surfing the internet. you might come across another blog like this.
2) Paint his face with toothpaste.
3)Take his picture while he`s drifted away to a galaxy far far away.( they do look cute while sleeping)
4) Try the age old remedy for boredom, listen to music.
5) Call any of your girl friend, you know it has been too long since you had that girlie chat anyways.
This is a very short list of what you can do, let your imagination loose and b`lieve me, you don`t really need your guy to be awake to have fun in the night.

Inspired by my irish manager, i have decided to continue blogging. my last blog was all `bout india fashion week n i wrote that primarily to pass my online journalism module. ( which i did)
frankly i am not very fond of the module.
from now on all my blog entries are going to be about.................................. almost any thing under the sun.

i work as bar staff in a bowling alley. yes an indian girl hailing from india, the land bound with traditions working in a bar. n no i don`t strip or any thing. just stay by my counter n give the nosy, irritating, stuck up people their drinks. that`s about me in a nut shell.
